Daniel Shaked, Portrait Photographer in Vienna
Hi, I’m Daniel Shaked, a portrait photographer based in Vienna, specializing in authentic portraits that capture personality, presence, and emotion. My work focuses on creating timeless images that feel natural, confident, and honest — whether photographed in the studio, on location, or in the streets of Vienna. I was trained at the bootcamp of music portraits, that give you very little time in small, crowded badly lit backstage rooms right before or after shows.
I love my hometown Vienna. I still run the music magazine THE MESSAGE MAGAZINE I co-founded when I was 17. It opened the world of music portrait photography letting me portrait acts like Anderson Paak., Joe Zawinul or Lang Lang, just to name a few. Since 2022 I work closely with the football team of FK AUSTRIA WIEN I so passionately support since he was a boy.
As a portrait photographer in Vienna, I believe great portraits start with trust and a relaxed atmosphere. Let’s first sit down for a coffee, talk and get to know each other before I stick a camera in your face.
Every photoshoot is a collaborative process, designed to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and confident in the final result.
Portrait Photography is about Character
I work with individuals, professionals, artists, and creatives, offering business portraits, corporate headshots, artist portraits, and music portrait photoshoots. Each session is carefully planned and tailored to your needs, ensuring images that reflect who you are and how you want to be seen.
With years of experience as a portrait photographer, I understand that many people feel unsure in front of the camera. My approach is calm, guided, and supportive — especially for clients with little or no camera experience.
Style & Approach
My photographic style is urban, modern, and timeless, with a strong focus on authentic expressions and subtle lighting. I use natural light as well as professional studio lighting to highlight character and create a strong visual presence without over-styling.
As a portrait photographer in Vienna, I know a wide range of locations that work perfectly for both professional and personal portraits.
If you’re looking for a portrait photographer in Vienna who values authenticity, quality, and a personal approach, I’d be happy to hear from you.

“If portraits of famous people live through the stories you associate with them, the real good ones stick out if you don’t need the story to be impressed by them.”
